Certified Life Coach

Certified Life Coach

In 2012, the National Board for Certified Counselors offered for the first time in history a national certification for the Life Coach credential.  The Board Certified Coach (BCC) is differentiated from other non-certified coaches in that the BCC is required to have at least a master's degree in counseling, undergo the training requirements dictated by the National Board for Certified Counselors, and then pass a national standardized test.

Board certified coaches work in the present toward the future.  Typically a client comes to the Board Certified Coach with a goal in mind and the coach assists the client in developing steps to achieve the goal(s).  Goal setting, steps to achievement, time line, and accountability are fundamental in the coaching process.

Areas where a certified life coach can assist an individual or business include:

    • Small business                        * non-profit                           *career change
    • leadership                                *creativity                             *major life event
    • presentations                           * life changes                       * health/wellness
    • addiction
    • personal organization

I have thoroughly enjoyed this new facet to my practice, and enthusiastically embrace my professional responsibility in your process - and that is to be the catalyst for your success.

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.  --William Jennings Bryan
